Looking Out for Number One in Propensity to Self Subversion

Your friend just bought the house of his dreams. Your wife keeps talking about her friend who
got the job she has always wanted.  It often seems like everyone else has no problem getting
what they want, when they want it.

Everyone has a tendency to get a case of “Poor Me” syndrome.  We look at everyone around
us and see all of the success and material gain that they have and wonder why it is them and
not us.  It is this tendency to expend your energy focusing on others that diverts us from
creating our own success.

Instead of wasting your time envying the achievements of others, take time to look at
yourself and recognize the potential you have for greatness.  Consider what you need to
change in your life to help bring about the kind of success that you desire. Use your energy to
help you achieve your goals of financial, personal and material greatness.

We cannot constantly compare our growth and learning to that of others.  We are each of us
unique individuals that can only measure our growth based on ourselves.  We need to learn to
develop ourselves into a whole unit of being, as opposed to become one part of the whole.
This process of development involves strengthening our mind, body, spirit and voice in order
to effect change in ourselves and the world around us.

An important step in development is strengthening ourselves mentally and emotionally.  We
use the conscious and subconscious mind to do this.

We need to look into ourselves to see who and how we truly are at this point in time.  Take
time to look into your subconscious mind through meditation and other focusing methods that
allow you to explore your past experiences and lessons.  When we look into our pasts it
allows us to discover deep seated truths about ourselves and how we came to be the way we
are.

Once we begin to focus on these hidden self-truths, we are able to discover those things,
which are missing from our lives. We can start to strengthen mentally, spiritually and
emotionally as we take the steps to fill these voids.  We can begin to put aside our reliance on
others and start to support ourselves in our own goals.

We can enforce this sense of self by developing our voice as well. This means taking a stand
for those things that you wish to see changed in the world around you. Express your views to
those in power and take ownership of your beliefs. Use your voice to put into motion an
environment of change.

We need to learn to break the cycle of influential learning. This type of learning has been
popular due to the group mentality of it. Influential learning is a process that allows you to be
blindly lead by others and form no real belief of our own. Following the path that has worked
for others is often a misstep on our part and clouds our ability to seek out our own truths. Set
out to discover truths and beliefs that ring true to you and no one else.  Do not rely on others
to set your foundation for you.

By challenging common beliefs we are able to further open ourselves to new thought and
areas of growth that may not have occurred to us before.  We are able to take the reigns and
become leaders instead of followers. We are able to challenge propensity to self-subversion
and come out stronger than ever.

We as individuals are the only one that can create our success. We are the ones that hold the
key to transform ourselves strong individual with a sense of purpose and power. Empower
yourself with the knowledge that you, no one else, are the master of your success.
