Everybody have their own dreams but not all people can make anything out of their dreams
or even remember what they dreamed of. Some dreams are just random activity in the brain
while one is in sleep but some aspects of the dream may have some sort of meaning and may
be worthy of analyzing. A guide to understand your dreams and use them for personal
development is a good idea since we always have dreams and we may have been taking for
granted dreams’ abilities to help us.

The first step is to identify the strong feelings that the dreamer felt during the dream.
Emotions are the key to the meaningful interpretation of dreams. It would be wise to ponder
on the strength and power of the emotions that plagued the dreamer. Analysis of this could
lead to more interesting conclusions and a totally different interpretation of the dream.

The next step to fully explore dream interpretation is to process the theme of the dream.
Details of a dream may be interesting but they may be irrelevant because the theme is the
sometimes more important. The overall theme of the dream may hold the key to its
interpretation. To correctly pinpoint the theme of the dream, ask yourself several questions,
like; what were you trying to do in the dream? What was constantly in your mind during the
dream? These questions help you conclude what is the theme of the dream. The last step is to
connect the conclusions to what is presently happening in your life. You would be able to
surmise a lot from these. Sometimes, dreams are fruits of your subconscious mind, which
take cues from the events, which are occurring or have recently occurred in the life of the
dreamer.

Our subconscious may be going overtime trying to solve a dilemma or a situation, which is
bothering us. Sometimes, our mind still works on a situation even if we are already at rest or
sleeping. Despite this, one must bear in mind that not all dreams have meanings or have
interpretations, which may be manifestations of our true feelings. Dreams have been
classified as the following:

Digestive dreams are dreams that interpret or recall the events of the day or the thoughts of
the dreamer which lay heavily on him. It may also interpret ideas and concepts, which the
dreamer may have been pondering on. On the other hand, creative Dreams are dreams,
which inspire individuals into making works of art, no matter what medium they may prefer.
Not all individuals experience this kind of dream and not all of those who do experience the
inspiration put it to good use. One way of trying to manipulate this kind of dream is to put the
situation or question in the mind prior to sleeping. Some experts say that practicing this may
soon yield results, which could satisfy you.

There is what we call anxiety dreams, dreams that interpret or release our anxiety and fears
or problems every night no matter how much of it we actually remember. Problems or worries
could manifest itself as someone or something chasing us. Also, nightmares are ore serious
versions of anxiety dreams.

These actually represent a real cause of physical or emotional fear in the dreamer’s waking
life. Recurring dreams or nightmares however, are dreams, which are trying to force a
message to our consciousness and are not making any headway. The best way to address
these is to analyze the nightmare and take action regarding it.

Warning dreams are often prophesies of things to come but not necessarily in the literal
sense. A dream of someone or something dying might mean something else entirely, like
someone you know getting fired or you getting fired soon. The possibilities to warning dreams
are endless since causes of warning dreams may not be clear at first. You might also
misinterpret an ordinary dream to be a warning dream. Do not be so hasty to jump to
conclusions. Dreams are there for us to know our inner feelings and thoughts. Use them for
your advantages and make your life better by analyzing your dreams and connecting them to
our waking life. Word of caution though is relying on dreams to control your lives. Otherwise,
someone will knock you down and tell you to “wake up!”
