Self control the key to live happy life
In todays fast pace world where there is cutthroat competition at every step, one needs to be
really sharp and intelligent to match his or her step with this growing world. In this race
against time people are busy earning huge amounts of money without thinking about the
consequences. To earn money such people can go to any level. They do not realize that this
life that is given to them by almighty is not for earning world pleasures but there is much
more meaning attached to their life. However, there is no such grand definition of human
behavior that can be explained as it depends according to the nature and personality of the
person. With the rising urge for worldly pleasures, there has been a drastic change in human
nature and it can be develop by a simple technique of self-control.
There are in fact many things in life that are merely out of your control and you cannot do
anything about it. But there is surely this one thing, which only you can control and that is you
yourself. Let’s make it simple with a help of an example – how many times you have set the
alarm watch for the morning walk and most probably you end up sleeping in your room or
how many times in your life have you have made this new year resolution, to quit smoking
and may be some of you might have stopped smoking but just for few days. After that, you
return to your normal routine of puffing the smoke in the air.

development and self-attainment. To control yourself you should first try to make a list of all
those things that you think are needed to be controlled in you. After planning the things, the
next difficult step is to execute your plan. If you have decided to quit smoking then not only
you should have an immense will power to control smoking but also at the same time, you
should have the full faith in you. Always try to have positive energy in you because if you will
think optimistically then can surely achieve your goal. Just believe in yourself and also keep
others informed about your success.
Keep telling people that you are no longer a smoker so that others will also generate faith in
you. One of the most important ways of self-control is self-motivation. You should try to
motivate yourself in every step of your life. Self-motivation again begins with positive attitude.
An optimistic attitude in life will not only help you to realize your inner being whist it will also
generate positive vibes in others around you which in turn enables you to live an healthy life
with a controlled soul. But leading a self-controlled life not only means that you should have a
great will power to resist but moreover prevent yourself from falling in the web of temptation.
That means for instance you have decided to lose weight. When you see a piece of irresistible
chocolate cake in front of you, the probability is that you would be unable to control yourself
from eating your cake. So the best thing to do in such circumstances is to do not keep a plate
of cake in front of you. In other words if you cannot resist alcohol don’t keep a bottle of
whisky at your place that is avoiding the wisdom of temptation or enticement. Thus by
adopting these simple ways you can control your life and lead a happy contended life.
