Sadness in Social Personality Development

We often feel sad when a loved dies, or we lose a friend or pet. The feeling of
downheartedness is common amongst us all. This bleakness that we feel from time to time
moves out of the way for some of us quickly, but for others it is a lingering feeling. By
realizing, that we can turn that bleak feeling into happiness it will encourage us to stay on the
road to social and personality growth.

Daily, we are all confronted with many issues. We must learn to thrive on stress, rather than
allow it to get us down in the dumps. Most of us deal with outrageous bills, children, keeping
the family together, work, and other stressors throughout the day. Because all of these issues
build up stress and forces us to spend most of our time finding a way to resolve the problems.
We all sometimes lose sight of social and personality development.

The glumness feelings we experience must not be overlooked. Instead of letting, they pass on
or suppressing them without giving much forethought we must strive to see what is causing
our problem. Grief for example is a natural feeling. When a loved one dies, we all go through
a grief cycle for a short while. The best way to handle the situation is realize that nothing lasts
forever. Moreover, we must realize that we must forgive. Forgiveness does not always mean
that we forget. There is nothing wrong with keeping good memories alive.

Doubt is another issue that gets in the way of our social and personality development. Despite
many people chose to suppress their doubts, later it will come up and bite you when you are
least expecting it. Instead of letting down get you down, put forth the effort to figure out what
is causing the doubt. Most times if you analyze your perceptions, read and learn you can
figure out your answers. The doubt emerges from incorrect information that was handed to
you from influences, or information you gathered and failed to find the facts. Self-doubt is an
entirely different issue, but it all results with the same effects and leads to embedded doubt.

Fear is a whole different ballgame. Some fear is healthy while other fears are not. For
instance, if you have healthy fear of God, then this is a form of respect. On the other hand, if
you fear heights, then you some problems to overcome. Life offers us no guarantees. So
whatever happens is going to happen and there is nothing we can do to change it. Still, we
can master our fears. That is the negative, unhealthy fears.

Fear has a string of variants, which come attached, causing us worry, dread, and to feel
anxious at times. Often we have to examine our fears, since sometimes we exaggerate, which
leads us to think we are in the face of terror.

We have to step back and analyze our fears. For instance, why are you afraid of heights?
What caused your fear of heights? Who caused your fear of heights? Where did your fear of
heights arrive? How did you become afraid of heights? Now you can start the investigation to
discover where your fears started. Perhaps you fell out of your crib when you were a baby?
Perhaps you rolled out of a bunk bed late one night when you were a kid.

Keep searching your mind to find answers. The answers are there, yet it takes effort, time
and practice, as well as natural technique to bring those answers out in the open.
